Sivaji, Endhiran, Dasavatharam all created stirs like none other - a screen was burnt when Sivaji print didnt arrive in time. Endhiran had queues of non-Indians with extensive English press write-ups. Dasavatharam had audience giving standing ovation at end of movie.

Please lah... the rest of the movies pale in comparison.
I do not trust any of these Malaysian news from Indian sites - still remember when they copy-pasted the entire cinema list in Malaysia and proudly proclaimed that Velayutham was playing in all.

If only VR had a chance to run there .. Would have easily secured a spot in top 3.

Which is approximately USD 2,44,901 and USD 6,03,330 malaysia gross for Poojai and Kaththi respectively for the reported screen. I don't know from where the propagating gross numbers of approx. $ 1.9M have come from. I am not sure how many Rentraks are there to give different BO numbers to different people and checked Boxoffice Mojo Malaysia, they too did not update any Malaysia numbers. Let me know if i miss any new authenticate bo source, as i am not online of late.

A total of 88 cinemas and possibly greater number of screens. Even in my neighbourhood mall it was playing in THX hall AND a couple other screens.

Don't trust these reports. Ever.

Definitely. Possibly could have beaten Sivaji too. By the time the ban was removed, most people couldn't wait and had watched it illegally.

That is not the whole picture and therefore cannot be assessed. It is like giving marks for just three papers and assessing the whole exam.
