Today is centenary celebrations of multifaceted person Shri C (Chowdasandra) Honnappa Bhagavathar.
He was born at a village called Chowdasandra, of Nelamangala Taluk, Bangalore District on 14th January 1915.
From 1941 to 1979, he acted in 28 films (Tamil, Kannada and others) and also produced some films under the banner of

Republic day celebrations are going on today.
Here is a song from the film ‘nADina bhAgya’, a b/w film released during 1970.
It is a song where farmers (sons of soil) celebrate their harvest season by remembering the grace of rivers and mother earth.
Song also reminds us the situation of villages during 1970s.
