I don't understand why an artist would undergo that much stress for a Shankar movie. At the end of the day, it is going to be a very ordinary story, which has no strong charecterization, with no depth whatsoever. So far, there are only two charecters from a shankar's movie with flesh and blood. Both happened because of a terrific artist in Manorama - in Gentleman and Indian. yes, the movie can become a blokbuster. but there is no incentive for an actor to dive such depths in a shankar movie, by his current track record.

The last magnum opus from Shankar factory was nanban unfortunately a remake of Hindi 3 idiots. I am watching anniyan as I am replying here; guess I has some similarities with anniyan..hope not but am guessing imagination....
