Producer/Distributor/Theatre go to Rajini because of one and only thing the Image the Star value he has created which Rajni himself has created and guess he is finding it difficult to break it and wants to do formula commercial movies...but he has been experimenting it after Baba taking calculative risks here and there...
Chandramukhi
Kuselan
Sivaji
Enthiran
Kochadaiyan
Lingaa
of all the above..to me personally..I feel Sivaji was to a certain extent formula commercial....rest all different....
Lingaa was totally refreshing sans Rajinism where the audience expected something like Muthu or Padayappa...since teaming up with KSR...
if Distributors/Theatres were expecting Sivaji/Enthiran....then they are fools....at the same time greedy enough thinking about making profits without any thoughts of calculative risks...

Smartphone eduthukalam..
Apple Iphone - $650
Samsung smartphone with more capabilities then iphone - $550
Amazon fire phone with good config like iphone when launched - $650
Both Apple and Samsung are successful in their model,
but amazon with not popular fire OS sold the phone at $650 at launch..
In this situation I call Amazon as greedy.. they are selling the phone now less than $200(within 6 months from the launch date)
Even though iphone is overpriced do you call Apple as Greedy??? definitely not because people ready to pay $650 for iphone.

Comeon bro you don't have to explain all this level of details to "Nobody here". Who are these guys to question what brand RK is or for that matter how much money producer or rajni should be make?

Neengalae sollitinga by comparing apple with amazone fire phone like enthiran with Lingaa..producers projected Lingaa like enthiran/padayappa and distributor fooled himself..he is not greedy thats my point..however his cheap act out of frustration needs to be condemned..
Apram Rajnikant brand enna ellam enakku theriyum..as i told i never moved out of rajni-kamal yet and not a fan of any current actors becoz i cant accept when this 2 stalwarts were still active and successfull..one failure cant bring them down..hope you understand my point..
again if my point is not line with you dont think otherwise..everyone thoughts were different..

Let me explain:
A distributor is not an end consumer. End consumer is the movie-goer, who pay for ticket and watch the movie. So, the $550 example doesnt suit here. A distributor is a part of the business. In Samsung's case also there will be distributors and wholesalers who will sell to retail stores, which will sell to customers. Among the contracts between the manufacturer and distributor , it could be a buy-back contract, where the seller will buy back the unsold goods or revenue sharing contracts etc. In Linga's case Manufactuer = producer and distributor = distributor.
In this case of Linga, there is a clear case of one-sided contract, where the risk-sharing and profit-sharing is completely benefiting producer, where the risk is pushed to distributor and the distributors are not getting benefits for taking the risk. There is a chance to call that in a environment where the corporate guys do business with small time distributors, they can exploit.

Here new distributors became fools but not greedy..bad thing is the way they handle the situation and disturbing the industry/actors/fans
