Nice write up @radio/@pushphak, i watched KS at Devi Paradise/Udayam (Cinemascope), in udayam went to watch just to see in cinemascope. Title credits were awesome and gave me goosebumps. Total paisa vasool movie, kamal in PooPotta Davani dance was awesome, also the vanillae thenilla song...He was in his best looks in the film...
All the best for UV, age will definitely catch up also with the strains of all the makeup in the future films he acted in...

My first kamalhaasan film in theater is nayagan when I was 5 year old..went with my sithappa & his friends in cycle..
At that time no theater in neyveli township and we need to goto outskirts to watch movie which is 20Km away from home...My sithappa and friends were shouting like anything in theater and after coming out they were discussing about the movie/praising heavily..i am sitting in backside of cycle and hearing those discussions and wondered..At that age I didn't like that movie except fight scenes and "nila adhu vaanathu maela song"..
Next day they went to manidhan movie which released at the same time but my parents didn't allow me at that age to watch movies back to back..Later on after 1 week i went to watch manidhan(which offcourse my 1st RK movie in theater) with mother and I liked that movie much by that time since it has more fights..

After joining college I watched nayagan in suntv and realized its a classic..

My father gr8 fan of sivaji by 70's they will go to pondy which is 50Km away from neyveli in cycle to watch sivaji movies..kaalam maari pochu

Second half starts off on a different ambience altogether ...... the englishman fight with MCP kamal at his best with bikini figure Madhavi...... full full claps especially for the parallel bars fight sequence.
After that a little bit dampener by giving too much role to useless fellow Rajiv ( cant understand why )
Superb pre climax where thalaivar gets exposed as traitor because of the famous Thagudu Thagudu sequence.
Senthaamarai turns to be a honest cop after all ..... surprise enough for 80s audience.
And then Vanitha mani song ...... Ilayaraja stamps his presence as the emperor.

Routine climax.

On the whole , fantastic masala entertainer. 1980s ..... those were the days.

Pondy is always kamalhaasan forte if I am not wrong..whenever I goto pondy in private bus most of the time they will play kamal songs..nowadays I don't know..

whether "I" is hit or flop what aascar is going to do without releasing Vishwaroopam2 when 90% of movie is already shot..
Say for 10% of remaining shoot he will spend 10 crores but by not releasing the movie he will loose 50-60Cr minimum with TV rights,audio rights..60cr is not big money?i feel the reason is something else..
If "I" is blockbuster then VR2 is extension of "I"s market,If "I" flops then VR2 comes as rescue,thats how I am seeing it..
