Ghibran has definitely taken TFM to a different level!

As an HCIRF this is the kind of soundtrack I would have loved to come out of IR's stable!

That either Kamal managed to extract it from Ghibran or it is Ghibran's repertoire by itself - is very heart-warming and welcome.

Now - the scores have the feel of Danny Elfman in parts - very much influenced by scores for Spiderman, 300 etc - there is a brief section that sounds a bit like Goodwill Hunting theme score - I would say its a quasi-original score and the period part score has a very Disney like fantasy feel so am anticipating heavy use of CGI and other SFX.

the tunes themselves do not stand out - as Venkkiram says - however what lacks in melody is made up with both the orchestral parts as well as the production quality.

the Western/European classical elements are very Hollywood generic - in the sense Ghibran has not done anything unique to merit something like his signature - but yet, it is a huge step ahead

btw "Letter to and from Yamini" is a direct ripoff from IR's "puthham pudhu poo poothadho" - the unpicturised song from Thalapathy!

ஆல்பத்தின் தொண்ணூறு சதவிகிதத்தில் கமலில் குரல். சொற்களை கணக்கெடுத்தாலும் கமல் எழுதிய பாடல் வரிகள் முன்னிலையில் இருக்கும். இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜிப்ரான் கூட கமலால் தான் இதெல்லாம் சாதிக்க முடிந்தது எனப் புகழாரம். ஆக்கமும் அவரே. காஸ்டியூம் என்பதில் கௌதமி என்ற பெயரில் கமல். பினாமி ரமேஷை முன்னிலைப் படுத்தி இயக்கியதும் அவரே. கமல். கமல். கமல். எங்கு பார்த்தாலும் கமல்தான் இதுவரை. படத்திலாவது மற்ற பாத்திரங்களின் பங்கு கணிசமான அளவில் இருக்கும் என நம்புகிறேன். உண்மையிலேயே கமல் அதிர்ஷ்டசாலி. அதாவது.. ஒரு இடம் விட்டுவைக்காமல் எல்லாவற்றிலும் கமல் என்ற நிலையை இன்னொருவரின் தயாரிப்பில் சாதித்துக் காட்டியது. நேற்றுதான் யோசித்துப் பார்த்தேன். கமல் ஒரு சக மாணவராக எனது பள்ளி வகுப்பில் கூடப் படித்திருந்தால் எனது மற்றும் பிற மாணவர்களின் நிலைமை எப்படி இருந்திருக்கும்? ஒன்று நான் வேறொரு வகுப்பிற்கு என்னை மாற்றச் சொல்லி தலைமை ஆசிரியரிடம் மன்றாடி இருந்திருப்பேன், இல்லையேல் பள்ளியையே மாற்றிவிட்டிருப்பேன்.

படத்திற்கான முன்னோட்டங்கள், பாடல்களை கேட்கையில் உத்தமவில்லன் அழுத்தமான கதையம்சம் பொருந்திய படைப்பாக இருக்கும் என நினைக்கிறென். இன்னொருவர் தயாரிப்பில் இதுபோன்று நகைச்சுவை அல்லாத படைப்பினை கடைசியாக எடுத்தது ஆளவந்தான் மற்றும் அன்பே சிவம் என நினைக்கிறென். இரண்டுமே தோல்வி. மற்ற சீரியஸ் படங்களை கமல் தனது சொந்தத் தயாரிப்பிலேயே வைத்துக் கொண்டார். உத்தமவில்லன் அவ்வகையில் முக்கியமான ஒன்று. அதைக் கருத்தில் வைத்து என்னுடைய அபிப்ராயங்களை சொன்னேன் சார்.

Totally disagree with highlighted part..By looking at so many interviews I guess Ramesh aravindh is not jalra,he is a fan of KH but doesn't like KH involving in his department..UV direction is purely by him..for 1st trailer also he didn't like the outcome and he gave lot of inputs on how the trailer has to be..
Also kamal discussed about UV story 3 years before to Ramesh aravindh and asked him to direct..he rejected by that time but kamal requested him to direct after 2 years which he accepted..Ramesh is busy artist in kannada but he left behind everything and spent 1 year for this movie for being a puppet?

Difficult to put exact percentage. But my assessment would be KH 85 percent .... RA 15 percent. Would be safe to call it ghost direction. And about Jaalra ...... HE IS hard core kamal jaalra. Period. I saw him in Alwarpet office waiting outside KH office room like a gardener.

KH definitely needs to clear this doubt on "ghost direction"..for me 10A is directed by KSR and not ghost directed..if KH directed that movie there wont be "ulaganayaganae song" and it wont be commercial & BB as well..For me its his screenplay that is so detailed makes us feel he has directed the movie..
