Somehow or other Kamal's movies get into some kind of controversy and the same continued with the remake of Malayalam blockbuster 'Drishyam'. Satheesh Paul has filed a suit in Ernakulam District Court and claimed that the director, Jeethu Joseph has stolen the script for ‘Drishyam’ from his novel ‘Oru Mazhakaalath’.

Today, the Ernakulam Court has ruled out the suit filed by Satheesh and delivered the judgement in favor of Jeethu Joseph and the producers after hearing/reading the scripts of ‘Papanasam’ and the novel. The movie might release around the last week of May.

Papanasam boasts Asha Sarath, Anant Mahadevan, Kalabhavan Mani and Nivedha Thomas. Produced by Suresh Balajie, George Pius of Wide Angle Creations and Rajkumar Sethupathi of Raj Kumar Theatres Pvt Ltd. Papanasam has music by Ghibran.
