    Chennai makkal, is movie holding on at BO? Till now, i heard bad wom from those expecting it to happen (the neutrals who still think MMKR was his best and only good movie or folks who say his arrogance had led to giving poor movies in recent times.)

    Nick, this shud be the least commercial movie he attempted, post VV. I guess he wud hav thot this will be like Mahanadhi, but in reality its holding decent. Family audience doing justice in A and B centers, C centers just forget it.

    And i think he wont do a pathos movie like this anytime soon. Papanasam is remake, kind of thriller and family audience. Then Roopam and Or Iravu or ThoongaaVanam are like high octane action. the next one, bilingual VaamaMaargam/Thalaivan-Irukkindraan is a Don subject. So get ready for non stop and various kinds of action movies!!

    Actual numbers not fully out yet for domestic market. BW puts out chennai box office only .. US looks like its into 3rd week albeit fewer shows. That was a pleasant surprise since it grossed only around 65k 2nd weekend. So reviews and positive wom is carrying it further although not in a big way.

    OK Kanmani is approaching a million US$ .. thats huge considering only Rajini, Kamal and Vikram (shankar) have done it so far.
