SUPERSTAR RAJINI - RANJITH'S NEXT - SINGAM 'SINGLEA' DAN VARA POGUDHA ?

The Superstar Rajini - Pa. Ranjith film is unarguably the most expected upcoming movie in K-Town. Ever since talks about the film surfaced, fans and movie buffs have been going bonkers over it in total excitement. The technical crew of Madras (Santhosh Narayanan, G.Murali and Praveen KL) is set to work in this film too. It must be noted that there has been nothing official about this film, as yet.

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Rajini may not be having any female pair in the film, where he is touted to play an ageing gangster. Though the film ought to have female actors as part of the cast, it is said that Rajini wouldn't be having a love interest or such, in the film. We have to go back many many years to find a film where Rajini didn't have an onscreen pair. Sounds super-exciting indeed !

Now, let's wait for the much-expected official word from the team.

+1, Whenever Rajini played old, he rocked and his performance was awesome......like Netrikann, Padaiyappa, (aberrations: Arunachalam, Muthu, Valli, Dharmadurai which did not have much scope though)

Dharmadurai had its moments though .... It had one of the best ever intro scenes for Thalaivar, IMO... And I remember going bonkers with the rest of the FDFS crowd when he retaliates to protect his brothers...

Yes he was just awesome in such roles, and he simpley excels in sadist/villain roles, too many examples to prove this from his late 70's BW movies, esp the movies involving KH.

Not to mention the father role in Annamalai, Malai da anna malai !

Mega Superstar as Villain for Rajinikanth

The latest buzz about the upcoming Rupees 300 Crore Magnum Opus from the Shankar-Rajini Combo is that Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan has been approached to play the parallel lead.

According to sources the scenario would be that Rajini will play the hero in Tamil while Shahrukh will be the villain and in the Hindi version Shahrukh would be the hero and Rajini the villain. Earlier it was reported that Aamir Khan and Vikram had been offered the role but it now looks certain that the two Mega Stars of Indian Cinema , Shahrukh Khan and Rajinikanth will combine onscreen under Shankar's direction to give a world class movie for fans. Official announcement regarding this is expected early next week.

Waste , utter waste! I hope it is not true, BTW Yarappaa intha "Mega Superstar " title ellam SRK ku kuduthathu !!

If this is "money making "plan aimed to attract our long lost "Persian cousins" , then this is not going to work .... Remember how Ra1 flopped miserably ?
