Points well noted and understood sir.

If I have the same, I would have posted it. Whatever i have interms of Raja and Rickshawkaran I had put here, only as an example requesting the seniors to make a fair comparison if at all if it is required.

Am not saying that a comparison should not be made But when an attempt is made, let them make it in absolute terms is what i meant.

Please tell me sir...if i make a comparison of Needhikku Thalaivanangu Collection of Devi kala vis-a-vis Uthaman that was released in the month of June 1976 collection released in Shanthi, is that a right comparison? - this is the point am trying to make but unfortunately, the point is not being understood in that spirit.

Anyways, i do not want to ponder on this anymore as you rightly mentioned it is not going to help anyone / anything.

Very correct Sir, we cannot compare Shanthi and Devi Kala capacity. If at all comparison has to be made then it should be Uthaman {Shanthi} and Neethikku Thalai Vanangu [Odeon, I think later named as Melody?].

Further comparisons should have more details as follows:

1) Theatre/s – Capacity.
2) Theatre/s – number of shows – regular/noon/morning.
3) Ticket price.
4) Date and year of release

The same to be applied for re-releases, which also matters since it is many persons bread and butter. They are not going to release any movie without track record of benefits/making money.

Only then, there will be Logic [which itself is the worst enemy of truth, it does not know its own errors] behind comparison.
