Kamal Haasan’s Papanasam has got a clean ‘U’ from censor board which ensures better chance for the team to get tax exemption from the Tamil Nadu government.

The team has also announced that the film will be releasing on July 3rd and they have already kick started the promotions in various TV channels.



Papanasam is a remake of Malayalam film Drishyam which is also being remade in Hindi with Ajay Devgn in the lead.

Interestingly, Reliance Entertainment has bought Papanasam’s North India distribution rights and they will be releasing the film with English Subtitles.

Reports say that the Hindi version of Drishyam will be releasing only on July 31st hence Papanasam will have an advantage in the trade belts of North India.
