I would deem them both equal with respect to this movie. If you are to compare both as actors, then Kamal is ahead. There are certain things Kamal can do on screen that Mohanlal can't.

About 40% of the theatre was full. A friend of mine didn't like the movie that much. Thought it was too long for comfort.
