Portrayal of tribals in ‘Baahubali’ sparks Twitter war

The well-known journalist has strongly attacked the makers of Baahubali over portrayal of tribals in Baahubali. Deeply upset with the Baahubali makers, Shekhar Gupta took to Twitter to vent his anger and thereafter sparked a tweet war among pro and anti Baahubali audience.


"Most awful film portrayal of tribals in #Bahubali. Dark, scar-faced, ugly rapist brutes with rotting black teeth. Shameful profiling (sic)," Shekhar Gupta wrote on Twitter triggering a tweet war.

aking on Shekhar Gupta, a number of users came forward to show their support to Baahubali.


Baahubali, a film by SS Rajamouli, featuring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and others in lead roles has created several records by its box-office collection. It's getting praises for its larger than life characters and special effects.


What a shame @ShekharGupta ji! Dark, scar faced was the portrayal. But "UGLY" is YOUR INTERPRETATION. Very Racist!
