His conviction when he talks about how he could have made it big in the Industry even if he did not have a dad-industry-connect is

This is the reason why he stands tall despite efforts by small souls to undermine his growth to his father.

He not changed much today, after 17 years.

If not for his lack of focus in between when political aspirations played a part, he would have been a bigger icon now.

Nevertheless, he is back to what he does best, that is 'Delight fans and Demolish hate'

Good things happening... Vijay needs to continue to ensure his movies don't get remade but dubbed and released. Wish some of his past superhits were dubbed instead of being remade in Telugu. He perhaps may have had a much better market in Telugu too...nevertheless, better late than never. Glad to see Jilla becoming a huge success there... Really wish they release Kaththi too there... That subject is quite close to that state too. If they do so and it does well, then Puli will have a much better landing ground than it had a month back. Looking forward to better and bigger times for us Vijay fans.

One of his major mistakes back then was to remake many telugu movies, kindof shut him out of the market for a while.

But with his mass appeal and commercial versatility, it was a matter of time he made an impact in Tollywood.

Jilla's success is unexpected expecially releasing after 18 months, but a welcome one nevertheless.

I am sure, this will open his market up in Tollywood, his only weak spot.

Well said Cedy...that's what is one of his most positive traits....he has a balanced head over those shoulders. He has never come across as " I, Me, Myself" kind of character. Such a secure person as an individual and as a professional... Which is why even his fans can stand up against all hate ..he has just been growing with each movie and year. Like you said, had he not gotten digressed in between, he would've been even bigger in stature.
