'Puli' trailer gives fans Disney experience
Chennai, Aug 20 (IANS) The theatrical trailer of Tamil superstar Vijay-starrer "Puli", which was unveiled on Thursday, gives fans the experience of a Disney film.
The 114-second trailer is set against an imaginary land ruled by an evil princess, played by Sridevi, whose look is neatly inspired from Hollywood star Angelina Jolie in "Maleficent".
Vijay, going by the trailer, comes as the ray of hope to save people from the clutches of the evil princess.
The CGI-laden trailer features dwarfs, a Troll and good scope for action and romance.
Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani play Vijay's love interest in the fantasy drama directed by Chimbu Deven.
The trailer ends on a high note with a dialogue that goes, "Only with regards to love I melt like a dewdrop. When it comes to enmity, I'm a tiger".

Puli Trailer Review - Vijay's Majestic Show all the way
Finally, the most anticipated trailer of Vijay's Puli was released today sharply at 12 AM, which resulted in the explosion of social media space with fanatic comments. The trailer starts off on an interesting note with a brilliantly executed aerial CG shot of a grand kingdom, which has surpassed the expectations of the Tamil audience. One can be rest assured that VFX in the film will set a new benchmark for Tamil films. There is a dash of fantasy in the trailer, with the presence of lilliputians. One cannot rule out the time travel phenomenon too. We will have to wait and see what Chimbu Deven has in store for the fans.
Vijay's majestic and handsome avatar
Cutting to Vijay's introduction, he is introduced as the only ray of hope for a land that is ruled by darkness. Vijay looks manly and majestic with a sword in his hand, and blue lens in his eyes. Expect the theatre to erupt for this dialogue - "Pasathukku munnadi dhan naan pani, Pagaiku munnadi naan Puli".
Stellar Casting
Although the film looks like a regular 'Good vs Evil' battle set in a pre-historic era, the likes of Sudeep and Sridevi make the entire setup interesting. With Hansika and Shruti Haasan playing Vijay's leading ladies, one would expect some sizzling onscreen chemistry for Vijay with these beauties.
Natty's cinematography bring in the grandeur feel to the audience, which is the pre-requisite for a movie made on this scale. Devi Sri Prasad's background score is middling, while Sreekar Prasad has made sure that the trailer is crisp and intriguing.

Will Vijay's 'Puli' do a 'Baahubali' at the Box Office?
Mumbai: In the first half of 2015, Indian Cinema put up a sombre performance at the Box Office. Bajarangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan and Baahubali featuring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati changed the dynamics in July. And now the big question is will Puli with Ilayathalapathy Vijay as its protagonist recreate the same magic at the BO.
The trailer of Vijay's Puli was launched Wednesday. The actor's official Twitter handle shared the link to the trailer of the film which marks the comeback of Sridevi in Tamil films.
The trailer has some inspiring graphics and special effects. Loaded with action sequences and punches in dialogues,Puli, promises to have all the elements of a blockbuster film.
