I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.

Blogger Jackie sekar has written a decent review!
Hindustan times has given a worst review!
It seems fans are more disappointed than general audience!

I am watching it tonight BTW..

Jokes Apart- The attempt to make a fantasy genre should be applauded - He chose the wrong Stewart to lead. CD has been in a losing streak someone like Shankar or Murugadoss would have made this better (It is difficult to come up with the 3rd name for this movie Genre)

Behindwoods 2.75/5. Everything positive about the movie but the only critical part of the review is
****The film moves along at a pretty leisurely pace, and one can't go in expecting a racy ride from start to finish. The ending could have been better, as it is too frenetic. Weighing all the positives and negatives, Puli is ultimately an effort which needs to be positively considered. It isn't everyday that a lavish film such as this is made. Despite its screenplay issues, Puli deserves to be seen for all that has gone into its making.***

Yes. Reviews in twitter/fb of neutral audience are all in praise and positive. Vijay fans were expecting lot of mass scenes i guess

Even here they speak only about slow screenplay. Not much of complaints
