Though Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Puli has garnered mixed reviews, the film has got huge opening at the worldwide box office.
Apparently, some of the Kollywood celebrities too have liked Puli and genuinely appreciated the team for making a kid-friendly movie.
Lingusamy has said that Vijay should do more films like Puli, which is tailor made for kids. Similarly, actors Jiiva, ‘Jayam’ Ravi and music composer, Imman too have appeared on You Tube and urged their fans and general public to watch the film on big screen.
Mean time, Vijay is currently busy with shooting of Atlee’s film, which will be released by early next year. Sources say that the team has almost wrapped up 65 % of the shoot and soon they will be leaving to Goa and China for shooting romantic numbers composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
The yet-untitled film has two heroines, Samantha and Amy Jackson.

After its 4 day opening weekend, the total Tamil Nadu gross of the Vijay starrer Puli is said to be close to 32 crores. As reported earlier, in Chennai city, the film's 4 day gross is estimated to be around 2.85 crores.
The film isn't tax free and also carries mixed reviews. We have to see how it sustains from today, to know its exact status at the box-office. But it sure is a fine opening, befitting a star of Vijay's stature who has a big fan base and also major patronage from kids and family audiences
