முதல் மரியாதையில் மலைச்சாமிதான் எல்லாம். மேலும் அதன் தரமே வேற. ஹாலிவுட் பட தழுவல் இல்லாத தமிழ் கலாச்சாரத்தை பறை சாற்றும் உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த படம் அது. தேவர்மகனை அப்படியெல்லாம் சொல்லிட முடியாது. சும்மா ரெண்டையும் கலந்து விட்டால் ரெண்டும் ஒண்ணாகிவிடாது. தேவர் மகனில் சிவாஜி நடிக்காமல் இருந்து இருந்தாலும் சிவாஜிக்கு ஒரு இழப்பும் இல்லை. முதல் மரியாதையை அப்படி எல்லாம் சொல்ல முடியாது!

ஒத்துக்கமாட்டேன். குயில் பாத்திரத்தில் ராதாவும், பொன்னாத்தாவாக நடித்த வடிவுக்கரசியும் எந்த விதத்தில் குறைந்தார்கள்? சிவாஜி அளவுக்கு இல்லையென்றாலும், அவர்களின் நடிப்பு படத்தின் தரத்தை உயர்த்தியது. குயில் பாத்திரத்தை சிறப்பாக செய்த ராதாவுக்கு தேசிய அளவில் விருது கிடைக்கும் வாய்ப்பு தவறியதே அவருக்கு சொந்தக் குரல் இல்லாமல் இரவல் குரல் அமைந்துவிட்டதால்தான். சிறந்த திரைப்படம் என்பது பல திறமைகளின் சங்கமம். முதல் மரியாதையை பொருத்தவரை இயக்குனர், வசனகர்த்தா, திரைக்கதை, இசை, நடிப்பு என எல்லா அம்சங்களின் சங்கமம்.

மேலும் அதன் தரமே வேற.

தவறு. தேவர் மகன் எடுத்துக்கொண்ட களம் வேறு, கதை வேறு. இரு படைப்புகளிலும் ஆதாரமாக ஒலிப்பது வெவ்வேறு விழுமியங்கள்.

சும்மா ரெண்டையும் கலந்து விட்டால் ரெண்டும் ஒண்ணாகிவிடாது.

சிவாஜியின் தேர்ந்த நடிப்பு என்ற அம்சத்தை வைத்து பார்க்கும்போது, எண்பதுகளுக்கு பிறகு வந்த சிவாஜி படங்களில் முதல்மரியாதை, தேவர்மகன் இரண்டும் சிகரங்களாக இருக்கிறது என வகைப்படுத்துவதில் என்ன தவறு?

தேவர் மகனில் சிவாஜி நடிக்காமல் இருந்து இருந்தாலும் சிவாஜிக்கு ஒரு இழப்பும் இல்லை. முதல் மரியாதையை அப்படி எல்லாம் சொல்ல முடியாது!

ஏப்பம் விடுவது போல கருத்து சொல்லிட்டு போகக் கூடாது. தேவர் மகனில் சிவாஜி பாத்திரத்தை வேறு யார் செய்திருந்தாலும், சிவாஜி செய்ததில் கால் வாசி கூட எட்டியிருக்கமுடியாது. கமல் அதிர்ஷ்டக்காரர். சிவாஜியின் உடல்நிலையும் ஒத்துழைத்தது.

That is Sivaji's speciality...... my point is had he been involved in any other movies like Avvai Shanmugi or Unnal mudiyum thambi or may be any other movie, we would have still told the same thing...... he would have elevated that character to a different level........ even otherwise that is a strong character only...... not sure who would have been chosen to play the role had Sivaji refused........ still that character would have been remembered...... but for Kamal's screenplay and etching that character........

வென்க்கி - இவிங்களுக்கேல்லாம் logic எல்லாம் பார்த்து பதில் சொல்றீங்க பாருங்க - உங்களுக்கு பொறுமை ரொம்ப ஜாஸ்தி தான்!

'முதல் மரியாதை' படத்தை பார்த்தாங்களா? அதுவே பெரிய சந்தேகம் - 'எனக்கு ஒரு உண்மை தெரிஞ்சாகனும்' வசனத்தை சொன்ன வீராசாமியாக இருக்கட்டும், இல்ல அந்த சின்ன வேடத்துல வந்த சத்யராஜ் ஆக இருக்கட்டும், ஒவ்வொரு கதாபாத்திரமும் படத்துக்கு சரியான தூண்கள் - that is the magic of a great/good script.

'தேவர் மகன்' belongs to that category as well - NT's character was/is as popular as that of Vadivelu's 'Isakki' - NT elevated that character to a different level with his mercurial talent - and everyone else did their part - சிங்கத்துக்கு மட்டும் இல்ல, நடிச்ச எல்லாருக்கும், இதர தொழில் நுட்ப கலைஞர்களுக்கும் போட்ட சரியான தீனி தான் 'தேவர் மகன்'!

இதெயெல்லாம் சில பேர் கிட்ட விளக்கி சொன்னாலும், புரியாது - புரிஞ்சாலும், ஏதோ வெறுப்புல, புரியாத மாதிரி நடிப்பாங்க - நான் புடிச்ச முயலுக்கு 15 காலுன்னு அளக்க வேண்டியது..

Typical response, do you have proof for this? lift one up at the same time bring the other down, the same can be said of the reverse also,. I still vividly remember when muthal mariathai released and there were even sivaji fans who were not impressed with the film. This is all very subjective

தேவர் மகன் 175 நாட்களுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாட்களுக்கு ஓடி தொடர்ந்து பல மக்களை திரையரங்கத்திற்கு ஈர்த்துக்கொண்டே இருந்தது. மேலும் இதுவரை எப்போதெல்லாம் தொலைக்காட்சியில் ஒளிபரப்பப்பட்டதோ அப்போதெல்லாம் அதை நிறைய மக்கள் பார்த்து ரசித்திருக்கிறார்கள். தேவர் மகன் வசனங்கள் இணைய உலகம் இல்லாத காலத்திருந்தே உரையாடல்களில் எடுத்தாளப்பட்டவை.

அவ்வை சண்முகி கதையை கமல் சிவாஜியிடம் விவரித்தபோது, மாமனார் வேடத்திற்கு ஜெமினி பொருத்தமாக இருப்பான் என சிவாஜியே பரிந்துரைத்தாக கமல் பகிர்ந்திருக்கிறார்.

when Vijay TV conducted a poll of which is the best tamil movie, Thevar magan won it hands down - in public voting. .. thats called legacy, badsha will be forgetten in a while... not Thevar Magan/Nayagan.

Shivaji's movies are more popular than MGR's, except for a handful like Enga veetu pillai, Aayirathil oruvan. MGR's legacy is majorly due to politics. Pity Rajni, he dont have that as well now.
