Bharathiraja (Seeman) et al have taken a different stand - conflating this with cauvery and other issues - bizarre!

Bharathiraja himself was influenced greatly by Puttannaa from Karnataka, did films in other languages - so it is perfectly ok to have producers from other languages invest in Tamil cinema, but it is not ok to have a pan Indian actors guild/forum?!

Makes no sense - yedhayellam arasiyalaakkanumnu oru vevasthayey kidayaadha?

I may not agree with a few of Kamal's views, but his stance in this entire episode has made him go even higher in terms of my respect and adulation for him - it takes some serious guts to take a principled stand thinking of the bigger picture than pandering to a parochial interest..
