So based on your post & thamiz post 30 crores loss for Kaththi, which when compared to Lingaa made at a much smaller budget, sold at less than half the price of Lingaa, performed at BO much better than Lingaa and a very huge success compared to Lingaa, if Kaththi loss is 30 Cr then Lingaa should easily be more than 100 Cr, looks like the 55cr loss of Lingaa is under reported

Lingaa earned 100 cr gross in less days ..the problem is linga was sold higher price than enthiran (?).. Bt unfortunately linga dint cross Enthiran collection and Vijay ? ( vijay with singara velan photo released even after the issue was alive ) insisted velan to protest against Rajini to degrade him..ellaam kaathu vazhiyaa vantha seithi thaan

Even before he started doing remakes, his base was strong with Poove Unakkaga, Love Today kind of films. I don't know how old are you. The above said films had a good run at the BO and made him a familiar name with the general audience

Singaravelan posed with Rajni too after that issue. Based on your logic, Rajni himself insisted Singaa to oppose Lingaa may be.

Vijay himself admitted that after a string of flops, it was KUSHI which revived his career and he thanked SJS for it in Isai audio launch. And it was THIRUMALAI which gave him the much needed boost after a lean period. Both were not remakes. In fact, they were remade in other languages later.

Only instance where he found a remake handy for his revival was Kavalan. Even though it was not a runaway hit at the BO, it helped him to steady the ship.

We know Kaththi did not make any loss but we still keep saying it made loss and once the producers saw the same on twitter they replied us and made us jokers . Harsh.
