WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH VIJAY 60?
Vijay is currently associated with director Atlee for his 59thfilm. Who would he choose as director for his next project is anybody’s guess. We had also carried a report on this a couple of day’s back that it could be S J Suryah or Sasikumar but an official info on this is awaited.
Some time back, we had reported that Sasikumar could be directing Vijay’s film, but whether it would be Vijay’s 60 or 61 or 62 was uncertain. It was also said that Sasikumar had narrated a story to Ilayathalapathy which was liked by the hero as well.
The latest buzz on this topic is that Vijay had given bulk dates to Sasikumar and that he would start his project soon with the Subramaniapuram director. However, sources close to Sasikumar deny this and say it is baseless. They also mention that this project is likely to take some time and as of now, it is still at a very nascent stage with both the artists busy with their respective commitments. We would keep you posted on this! http://behindwoods.com/tamil-movies-...mars-side.html

1 YEAR OF KATHTHI SUPREMACY
The 22nd of October, 2014 saw one of the biggest money spinners of Tamil cinema, It’s been exactly one year since its release, but the craze for the film is still on. Yes, we are talking about Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster hit film Kaththi directed by AR Murugadoss.
Kaththi’s success wasn’t a cakewalk for the team. It had so many pre-release issues and the makers had to sail through a rough patch before Kaththi’s release. But once it was out there for public display, it was just a one way traffic. The film had a very positive opening with hardly any negative reviews.
It was a good product that had commercial elements laced with a tear-jerking social angle. Apart from all these, Vijay’s screen presence was impeccable. A double hero subject with 2 contrasting characters, one (Jeevanandham), a little emotional while the other more shrewd, carefree yet dynamic (Kathiresan); Vijay was at ease doing both. It could be rated as one of Vijay’s best acting performances till date.
The technical department was another backbone for the film’s success - Be it Anirudh’s BGM, Sreekar Prasad’s crisp cut’s or George C Williams camera gimmicks, they all did their work with utmost finesse.
AR Murugadoss’ take on the whole farmer issue was laudable and to make such a film with a mass hero like Vijay was very surprising, but he did it with elan. ARM is a big heroes delight, he has such variety in his kitty and he could direct a film with anyone, but only when he teams up with an actor like Vijay, the film realizes its full potential.
So when will the ARM - Vijay storm strike again? We hope it does soon… http://behindwoods.com/tamil-movies-...-one-year.html
