Both are true. and also one more thing. he even did a பட்டிமன்றம் in jaya tv after Roopam, that program was on request of Aascar, the producer of Roopam2. Kamal mentioned that in that program itself. Means, he still has and can hae business links with Jaya tv, like any other channel. that doesnt change the fact that he won against JJ in roopam issue. NONE of the viewers after watching the movie said it had something against muslims. so its pure open defeat of JJ. Of course kamal lost few Crores in Box office but he is not a பணப்பேராசை வெறி பிடித்த நடிகர்! You want to box things as either black or white, that too without logic, forgeting there are gray areas in between!

Last but not least, Kamal was conferred PadmaBhushan, after roopam release. much later, in fact. For one to get that award, CM of that state shud write a letter reccomending the candidate, to PResident. Its a norm! And its still her rule only, fyi!

wat.. u dont think nation n kamal didn't win against jj.. film came out n succeeded... but still the beauty is kamal wont fight against jj...because he has no political motives.. like our sivaji rao.. who got back in his face..
