ஹாலிவுட்டின் ஜெமினி கணேசன்கள் !! Part 10
World's Super Duper mega star Sean Connery's influence over all other actors across the Globe!
Every man wanted to be him and the women adored him alike for the magnetism of his characterization as James Bond 007 after 1962...it was really a viral....and reached its peak with Goldfinger in 1964...Tamil movieswere no exception...all actors copied the brand mannerisms of Sean Connery...Jaishankar,Sivaji, MGR...all inspired by the way he dresses his tuxedo, have his hat and cool glasses, the style of his handling guns and girls...his most notable walk, his dominating presence and stylish dialogue delivery....his original stunts...GG somehow could not slip into this due to his soft nature...
But when Connery volunteered to retire from his Bond role, he opted to prove his acting calibre in elderly roles...particulary it was awesome and fascinating to see him as the father of Indiana Jones....in Last Crusade!
Aged Gemini resembled aged Connery in his later movies...!

ஹாலிவுட்டின் ஜெமினி கணேசன்கள் !! Part 11
Antony Quinn was one of the finest actors of Hollywood. He reached his pinnacle of fame with the Magnum Opus movie Omar Mukthaar though he was already popular for his supporting role to Gregory Peck in the Guns of Navarone!
The climax of Omar Mukthaar was somewhat similar to Veerapaandiya Kattabomman even as the themes of both movies are martyrdom by patriots! GG's get up in School Master as the old teacher was somewhat resembling Quinn's Mukthaar get up!

ஹாலிவுட்டின் ஜெமினி கணேசன்கள் !! Part 12
Gregory Peck was inimitable for his versatility in maintaining a perfect balance between cowboy type action adventures like Mckenna's Gold, War movies like The Guns of Navarone, Psychic thrillers like Omen alongside his penchant for smooth love dramas like the invincible Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn! All his movies created box-office records and till today he is immensely popular sharing the popularity platform with the all time supremo Sean Connery, Clint Eastwood, Bruce Lee, Cary Grant and Roger Moore!
GG polished his romantic interludes in line with GP's unforgettable performance in the Roman Holiday as can be witnessed for his sterling performance in Kalyana Parisu particulary the climax walkout!!
