மறு வெளியீடுகளில் கின்னஸ் சாதனை படைத்த அழகாபுரி சின்ன ஜமீன் விஜய் ஆனந்த் மார்ச் 11-ந் தேதி முதல் மதுரை சென்ட்ரலுக்கு விஜயம் செய்கிறார்.

எங்கள் மதுரை மதுரைதான்!

I am very much shocked to hear the demise of this great man. He was an authority on Indian Cinema. He was very polite, humble and down to earth. I had the chance to interacting with him. In 1987, the Chennai Film Society conducted 10 day workshop on Film Appreciation. I was very sincere and devoted and never missed a second during that workshop, which I feel happy and proud till date. The morning commenced with his Lectures. He would ask us about the previous day's screenings, discussions, etc. He was very affectionate with me and appreciated and personally wished me to become a filmmaker. The way I took part in discussions attracted his attention and he was a closer observer of my participation in the workshop. He guided me and recommended fellow participants to take note from my writings.
It was a memorable moment for me.

Indian cinema owes a lot to him being the Founder Director of the National Film Archcives of India at Pune.
