I've never had regular fish/dried curry in my life. But I've enjoyed the smell of the ingredient cooking when my mom used to make it. She used to grind the onions & garlic into paste to prepare the dish. naan senjadhE illa!

During my young days, when my father was alive, we had a fixed menu... every saturday, lunch would be chicken or mutton and noodles for dinner. Sundays, always karuvaattu curry.
Weekdays would be the boring egg curry, fish curry, saambaar, rasam, etc...

I had an similar situation every weekend back at home. They used to cook either chicken or mutton and my mom had to fix me vegetarian meal since I was a strict vegetarian.

You remind me of my elder sister - she won't eat chicken or mutton and will feed her share to the cats we had.
