I listened to "Orangalil....." after seeing your posting under the "New Faces" thread. Yes, Sudeep Kumar has a great voice, somewhat similar to KJY's voice. I have not yet listened to any other song in THAALOLAM.

GV,
Thalolam - I think won awards for its singers. If I remember it was Radhika tilak who won it for "Ennodenthini pinakkam". A lovable melody.
BTW,
there seems to be a version of "tere mere sapne" in Mallu by KJY and Chitra. I had heard this a lot of times at musicindiaonline.com. But the song is no more available there. Do u have an idea which film this is in ? I loved KJY's voice in this particularly as I could draw a pararllel between Rafi and KJY

MS: "Enodenthinee Pinakkam" ..isn't it from "Kaliyattam". Sahana, ain't it? A brilliant effort from Kaithapram. And Radhika was magnificient ,too. I thought it was Chitra until I saw the cresits in the cassette cover..and thats the highest praise I can ever think of for any female singer

I do not know the Malayalam version of "Tere mere sapne....".
Thank you for the info on "Upaasana". I know that Jayachandran won the national award for a song in SRI NARAYANA GURU. IMO, "Upaasana" is one of Jayachandran's best songs (if not the best), and I presumed that was the award winner!
BTW, does anyone know which song he won the award for?
