Can we get out of the Bhimplasi mode for a change ?)))
I remember reading somewhere in the net that SDB had composed a number in Tilak Kamod (Carnatic NaLina kanthi). Will appreciate some info on this.

A friend of mine pointed out ARR's kandukondEn ( title song) is based on Nalinikanthi. Have been breaking my head to track a SDB song in Tilak Kamod.

There is a great song in the film Chitralekha- kale tarsa... it is in the rag valachi in Carnatic. What is the Hindustani equivalent of that? Anyone...
BTW, is Ritu aa Gaye re in 1947 Earth in pantuvarali? Can anyone confirm that?

Vidhya, MS, thanks for that link.
I do not recognize those Tilak Kamod songs either.
Neither could I come up with any Tilak Kamod songs on my own! I'm sure there are many. Does "hum tErE pyar mein sArA Alum Kho baitEn hain" from Dil ek Mandir come close, or is it Desh?
CP, the Hindustani equivalent for Valachi is Kalavati.
