It is funny ARR should think that is voice wouldn't suit Abhishek. It does not seem jarring to me.
I can think of so many of his tamil movies where the voice used does not suit the actor. I guess in Hindi those things are important
Btw, "Tere Bina" is shot in thirumalai nayackar mahal, another one of Mani's fav locations..used in Bombay, Iruvar

Googled it. Nice find.
I also remembered in the news that there's a rumor that Ash-Abhi tied the knot in Madurai temple. Could that mean that the scene follows before or after the marriage?
The pieces of the puzzle are now getting put together..
Also, I believe S.Bharathi, tamil actor will be making his debut in this film.

Quick update from the ARRfans corner..
Re: [Semi-ARR] Barso Re Location
Hello Rakesh, I think most part of 'Barso Re' song is picturised in
Badami, Karnataka. You can see the ancient rocks and temples of the
Badami throughout the song. But don't know, whether a waterfall is
located there or not.
Interesting...

Guru - Variamuthu’s ‘Senthamizh’ songs.
Dec 05, 2006
Rahman – Maniratnam combination has worked wonders yet again in the audio market. Maniratnam’s Guru audio, which was released a little while ago, is being received with wide-open arms. Songs of the album have already begun topping the charts. Seems like Rahman’s proportionate blend of period and contemporary music is grabbing enough and more attention among the music lovers.
Guru
Rahman has devoted the Tere Bina song in the album to music maestro Naushad Ali. Earlier, Rahman worked with Naushad for his Vande Mataram album and it is learnt that to express his gratitude for the veteran Rahman dedicated the song to the maestro. Guru will simultaneously be released in Tamil as well and Vairamuthu has penned lyrics for the 7 songs in his unique Tamil. The audio sales are expected to soar in Tamil Nadu after the release of Tamil Guru.
Music World representatives confirmed that Mani – Rahman combination has made the audience head over heels for Guru’s music and the record sales are expected to rise when the songs catch up among the audience. While reflecting the same thoughts, sales professional from Connexions added that the movie’s release would play a pivotal role in boosting the record sales.
