ya but what to do?it"s not prashanth who is delaying it's release!it's the cold war between thoe two producers. if you see last year tamil news paper you might have noticed this add thagapansamy for pongal release in jan 2006 papers.

Actor: I have never seen my baby boy

KUALA LUMPUR: His marriage is said to be on the rocks.

However, Tamil film heart-throb Prashant Thiagarajan says he needs to clear the air about gossip that is making it worse between him and estranged wife Grihalakshmi.

“A lot of articles that had been published in Chennai are untrue,” the 33-year-old actor, who has a large following of fans in Malaysia, told the local press.

“Rumours are going around that I have asked for a dowry and that I am harassing my in-laws. All this is rubbish,” he said. His father, actor-producer-director Thiagarajan, accompanied him at the press conference.

Prashanth, who joined the industry at 17, shot to prominence with Shankar’s Jeans in which he was paired opposite beauty queen-turned actress Aishwarya Rai.

A frequent visitor here, he said before he tied the knot with Grihalakshmi, the only daughter of prominent Indian industrialist Dhanasekhran, he had received more than 40,000 proposals of marriage. “All I had wanted was a homely girl who would appreciate and understand me,” he said.

The couple have a child but Prashant claimed he had never laid eyes on the seven-month-old boy, alleging that his in-laws had cut all ties with him.

“I did not get to name the child or attend the ceremonies that were held for my wife when she was pregnant,” he said, adding that he would be getting a court injunction that will give him the chance to see the baby.

“I do not know what really happened or how this had started. But I hope her family will give us a chance to talk.”
