Pooja, 'Oram Po' & biriyani
IndiaGlitz [Friday, November 30, 2007]
Pooja is thrilled at her long-pending 'Oram Po' releasing in theatres this week-end. The young actress, who has managed to make a name for her in Sinhala films too, says:
“I have played a sweet character in 'Oram Po'. It has come out well. Hopefully audience would love it”.
The movie, directed by the husband-wife team of Pushkar and Gayathri features Pooja in a deglamourised role. She plays a girl who owns a biriyani shop.
“I liked the idea. I prepared myself by observing several such women in close quarters to contribute my best on the screen. Apart from my character, I liked the story very much.I agreed to do the role after listening to the one-liner they narrated me. The director couple was fresh, and enthusiastic about their work.”
Pooja is equally thrilled to act Bala's 'Naan Kadavul'. Without divulging details about her character, Pooja says, “I am playing the dream role of my life. My character assumes greater significance in the movie. Bala has been extracting the best from me”.

Pooja’s sweet shocker
IndiaGlitz [Friday, December 21, 2007]
Pooja, Asin, Keerthi Chawla, and Bhaavna are having a common carry out. These striking beauties of Kollywood, as a rule, call all the Journalists as ‘Anna’ -meaning brother. Our pretty girl Pooja has gone a step ahead in this having proved that’s she also imply what she says.
Recently, when a journalist shared that his better half had jaundice complaint, Pooja was shaken. She was kind enough to call a doctor whom she knows and got an appointment fixed for her journalist brother’s wife.
There was another sweet shocker waiting for the journalist in the hospital. Pooja was there in the hospital before them and kept on with her in-law and took heed for her until she left the hospital.
Pooja is also sponsoring a few underprivileged children’s edification without any media hype it seems. Love everyone for nothing may be her policy. Long live she and her love!

Use short words, short sentences and short paragraphs. Never use jargon words like reconceptualize, demassification, attitudinally, judgmentally. They are hallmarks of a pretentious ass. - David Ogilvy
