As per sify, lal's last two movies were hit. a big improvement when considering his plight in the beginning of the last year -- with two duds like vamanapuram and hariharan. Hope the great Lal-Sreeni combo would provide at least a Varavelppu rather than dishing out a Kilichundan or even Ayal Katha Ezhuthukayanu? By the way, do anyone have idea on the caliber of this Roshan Andrews?

Kazhcha and megahit! No doubt the movie has been one of the best in the last 3 years, and undoubtedly the best for Mammu, may be in the last couple of years. But how can any one term it a megahit. i am afraid it can't be classified even a super hit considering the collections it fetched from three major centres in kerala. i m not sure whether the movie has got more than what it did from Tvm, Ekm and calicut. As far as i know, the movie, which had a shoe string budget of around 1 crore, grossed somewhere around 5 crore, and might even collect another 5 crore (a far fetched theory) in its long run -- which might classify it at best a superhit. vellinaksatram and credibity -- jamega nahin!

Kazhcha is definitely the biggest hit.The only Malayalam movie ran successfully in A,B&C centers. No other movie including CBI-3 can maintain that momentum.Even outside Kerala, this movie had a consistent run.The movie is on a very low budget and very little adv and everyone-producers,distributors and theatre owners - all made money .It is a real welcome change for Malayalam film industry who tries to imitate Hindi and Tamil and loosing grip day by day.
