dada- the song (and its a wonderful one with SPB at his caressing best!) goes like 'En kannmani en paadal keladi, en ponmani en gaanam kettu thoongu poonkodi, kannae kana varum---'
I found it in a recording shop, the record had actor Rahman's photo on the cover, and the movie was titled as Nianivo Oru Paravai (perhaps unreleased)- Music was credited to Amaldev.
Sathya Kabali- 'Jambulingamae' is a rollicking fun song- have you noticed the cries 'Mahadeva' and 'Viswanatha' in between- I used to imagine a reference to KVM and MSV!!

Yes, Saravanan. Vaali would have definitely thought of those two when he wrote those lines. romba kuRumbu pudichcha aaLu.
I had to pause the video every 2 lines; to follow the lyrics along with the video.
With Thengaay blaberring the funny lines like
paamabai adikkum aaNdavaNe
Vaali immediately follows with praising Shiva
"pambai adikkum aaNdavanE"
another line goes like this
"hotel kaRiyai kEttavanE"
piLlai kaRiyai kEttavanE".
The whole song is like this Now after seeing the movie I have started to like this funny.. song more and more.
sollappOnaal cinemavil MGRin koLkai parappu seyalaaLar Vaalithaan!

Kannadasan kaalathileye kalakiyavar Vaali
Msv Used him Perfectly. Vaali Showed his Skills in MGR films but he did that in other films too..
Krumbu jaasthi than.. Avalkuenna azhagiya mugam- oh kaadhal oru magic switch.. endru ezhudhi kalakiyirupaar
Jayalalitha acted with Shivaji for the first time in Kalatta kalyanam he wrote "nalla Idam nee Vandha idam vara vendum" .. she came from MGR films... he meant that too
Kase than kadavulappa- Jambulingame is the best Eg for his comic sense..
he's such legend who has knowledge in all. current Events kooda update seidhukondu paadal ezhudhum thiramai Ullavar ..
he's my all time Fav too

Saravanan, a request. If you have the time, can you list/recap some rare(in your opinion) IR gems/hits that have either missed being discussed about or have been long forgotten. Kind of like the VJ number from "Sonnadhu nee dhaana". I am talking about the 76-82 period mainly. You can post your list here probably
http://www.tfmpage.com/forum/22292.03.31.13.html
Some of us are sharing some old IR songs there and it would be helpful to know the missing/eluding ones.Thanks. I think the list might(need) not exceed 40-50 songs.
