It's not that difficult to convert audio cassettes to mp3. Google and you'll find the way

Philips has launched a product 'Ripper', which allows you to directly convert cassettes to mp3. The have an USB slot, wherein you need to plug your USB stick. Play the tape and press a button and the conversion happens to mp3. This costs around Rs.4,999/- on retail but dealers give it to you for Rs.4,700/-. A nice gadget if you have lot of tapes.

Friends,
Do you have MP3 of the bit song from 'Sembaruthi' that goes like... "Thiru naal idhu thaan ezhil thoranangal poda.. pudhu naal idhu dhaan.." this will come in the second half of the movie. I am not able to find the song anywhere in internet.

nerd, andha kodumaiyai en kekkarenge. Some UK company holds rights to IR BGMS and literally forced the Rakkamma site owner to remove the BGMS. The funny part is these guys wont release the BGMS on CD either.

Rajasaranam, here's a challenge:

Indha movie pathi edhavadhu theriyuma? Sounds an interesting project and uncharted territory for Raja. The director also seems to have a rich understanding of music and its use in cinema.
I dont expect it to be catchy or 'normal' IR project but even before thiruvasagam, thalai has attempted setting Kannada poetry/verse to music. If there is a pan-Indian composer after Salil Chaudhary(not in the Rahman sense), adhu ivara dhan irukkanum. Thalai Ezhuthu, tamizhnattula porandhu tholaichadala...
