directors like park chan wook,fruit chan,takashi miike and of course kurasawa...many wonderful movies could be recommended by others

Try and watch the "samurai rebellion" (toshiro mifune plays a retired samurai who comes out of retirement to handle the warlord - nice movie),
"The samurai-1/2/3" (based on the life of Miyamoto musashi - Master swordsman, and the author of a management-bible "book of five rings"
Issac stern's "Mao and mozart" (am i getting it wrong ? lemme check my dvd and get back)
Kurosawa's yojimbo and its sequel sanjuro
Kurosawa's social dramas - Red-beard, high and low, Ikiru
Kurosawa's shakespeare interpretations - "ran" (king lear - his best movie in color, and his last movie as a director), "throne of blood" (macbeth - the best version of macbeth yet)
