The top 3 should have won him an oscar, its a shame on them. Even Kubrick did not win an oscar
Havent seen the others :P
Seriously,I want an explanation to this movie.I don't know whether I'm a crook or not.Damn me for saying GF was overrated. After watching it repeatedly,I would say:
1.The Goodfellas
2.Taxi Driver
3.The Departed
4.Mean Streets
5.Raging bull
And that 5th place is because I've seen only 5 MS movies.I never got why this is hailed as a classic.Just because its the first ever sport movie?Because De Niro was at his best? What makes it better than Goodfellas or Taxi driver or even departed?

Venki, I hope you are aware that Scorcese himself saw Raging Bull as a modern version of Othello. Try seeing the movie again from that perspective and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed. Also try watching the special feature interview with Scorcese. Scorcese unravels the motifs and nuances as he intended them to be. Very enlightening.
"Why do we need filmmaking equipment?"
"Because, Marcel, my sweet, we're going to make a film. Just for the Nazis."
