My super late thoughts on Sakkarakatti:
Marudhani
If i'm being honest, on the first few listens I thought this song was a bit boring. Melody wise, it seems a little repetitve. This might be due to the fact that the interludes seem a little rushed, and lack ARRs unique way with interludes! On the flipside, Madhushree's singing has to be appreciated, if not her pronounciation!

Personally, for me, this song is nothing to rave about. Sorry fans of this song! :S

partly we are in the same view... this song has not impressed me as much as how it has impressed others... for me, the savin grace is the beats, and ARRs divine humming...
Taxi Taxi
Very cathcy! Blaaze doesn't feel out of place here. Maybe ARR should've used a more interesting reggaeton/ dancehall beat? This is the most over used reggaeton beat EVER! But still its got ARRs stamp all over it! A sure fire hit!
5/5
again i agree on most of ur points... he could have used a diff beat... as this is a very popular beat... but still it gels well with the song...
Chinnamma
My fave song on the album at the mo. Didn't like it at first, probably because i've heard the Hindi version a few too many times (Thineshan's noise theory!

)

i love this song... both the singers have did a commendable job... and the lyrics... very well done to match the racy folk tune...
Naan Epodhu
Again, i'm liking this! Forgotten all about Yeh Rishta now. Not too sure about Reena Bharatwaj's voice though.
4/5
even i like it... but not so much... i always feel it a north indian song...
I Miss U Da...
Hmmm....the most 'hard to digest' ARR song in a while. As someone else has said, it starts of well and then it just gets.....yes.....WIERD! I played this song in my aunts car yesterday and she has banned me from playing it ever again cos she says it gives her a headache!

A really irregular song! Experimentation gone overboard?? MANY MANY more listens require!
the song which has made me spellbound... the experimentations... sounds... the fusion are simply awesome... best of the album for me....
UNRATED...
Overall a good enough album from ARR, but I can't help but feel that somethings missing. Maybe its just me?
Better than ATM or Sivaji?
