Hi !!
Can you let me know Ilayaraja songs based on the raagam of "Andhi mazhai pozhigiradhu" ?
Also, who has sung the "humming" between the 2 stanzas? Its simply superb!!

Hi Starlight...can't even say i'm an amateur...but the following link says raagam is vasantha...makes for an interesting read...i'm not sure about humming...maybe it's in article and i missed it...anyways check it out!
From the article: "Illayaraja made T.V.Gopalakrishnan sing in the second interlude of this song. A short piece of Vasantha. (Earlier he had made him sing a short piece of Keeravani in "idhu oru nila kaalam" in Tick Tick Tick)."

says that this song is based on "Ramani"...
In the song, "ini naan enbadhu nee allava" from .....hmm..."Soora samharam", there's a humming bit..thats also very good...wonder who sings these bits...

The humming rendered by carnatic musician T. V. Gopalakrishnan who is guru for IR in carnatic music. Even ARR learnt carnatic from him. Recently a function was organized by his students to felicitate him. Both attended the function too.
