Somewhat surprising that Lakshmi doesn't seem to have many takers here. I think she's a pretty good actress, just that she can go way over the top any time. I think it's only fair to argue that it was also one of the foremost things expected out of a good actor in those times. (Wonder if it can be analogised to doing stunt sequences, dancing etc. ) What I can vouch for is her wonderful performance in 'sila nErangaLil sila manidhargaL'. She is good at comedies too. Remember RudhrA? Among her recent outings, she was a scene-stealer in Rhythm.

She is good at sarcasm too. kaNNa urutti, oru namuttu sirippOda kodukkuRa sarcastic look is simply beautiful. And she is truly good looking. Her 'kara kara' voice is also something different and enjoyable.
