Our holiday specials begin today. There will be four songs this week and four songs next week from six different films.

"Nandri" starred Karthik, Nalini, Arjun and Mahalakshmi(aka Sri). The film directed by Rama.Narayanan was produced by AVM.Rajan to promote his beautiful daughter Mahalakshmi who wasn't getting very many offers in Tamil films. This is debut film for "Action King" Arjun. In his opening scene he shows off his martial arts skills and his perfectly sculpted body. Twenty four years later he is still a beefcake. Got to admire the discipline it takes to maintain a physique like that. The film launched a successful career for Arjun but not so much for Mahalakshmi.

Shankar-Ganesh give us this beautiful light classical in the lovely voices of Vani Jairam and Jayachandran.

You are doing a fantastic job. Though I go through your thread regularly, I didn't want to give my regular comment, " Nice Song"(may be because I had most of the songs) and also I'm not knowledgeable in those films for any worthy contribution. Infact I wanted to comment for the song "pAvai nee malligai" which I loved during those days.

But this holidays' special made me to atleast appreciate you for your efforts. I had really forgotten the existence of this song. Thanks for reminding this one.

VJ is pitch perfect (and what a pitch at that! phew!) PJC also dazzles. S-G, surprising guys?

Was "Madhurai Nagarinilae, Meenaal Ninaivinilae..." from Natpu? (I think it might be Chidambara Ragasiyam too!! Orae Kuzhappam!)
