Saleem Ghouse was wasted in Red... He is a better actor than the role he played in the movie.
Other actor that comes to mind is Charanraj and even Anandraj could have reached better heights.

Dont know if any one has mentioned it already .. Thalaivaasal Vijay is one of the most underutilised actors.

Definitely:
VIJAYAKANTH
I was watching the first 20 - 25 mins of:
naane raja naane mandhiri
I think, this is a unique film for VK & he never repeated this kind of character in his other 151 films.
I feel, directors never utilised his talent in this aspect.
I saw starting from the introduction stage play till Radhika's arrival (after VK does the interview
)... in between, there is GM scene where he was made to take one half of his moustache
In this, VK acts like GM way
solla pOna.. ippo irukkira iLaya thalaimurai nadigargalukku Vijayakanth endha vidhathilum nadippil salaithavar alla.

Saw Clips from Malayan. Karan is pretty funny as rough and tough dude but is scared of the heroine. This scene for instance:
He and Ganja Karuppu would be on bicycle, Karan would get off to answer nature's call. The girl would harass Ganja karuppu asking for license and RC book and whether he can do 8. Ganja runs to Karan who is still doing his business.
G: Anney, antha ponnu license, RC, ketkura...appuram 8 poda solluraa-nee.
K: Dey, ithukkelam yeenda 8 podurathu
