ezhudhi ezhudhi pazhagi vandhen(gumasthaavin magaL)
Pick # 62:
http://tfmpage.com/stream/songs/ezhu_gm.rm
Song: ezhudhi ezhudhi pazhagi vandhen
Film: gumasthaavin magaL
Singers: Soolamangalam sisters
Lyrics
Music : kunnakudi vaidhyanathan
APNagarajan directed very few social films and GM is one of them. It had sivakumar, kamalhassan(villain),aarthi(GM of sanghavi) etc.
I'm not sure why APN chose kunnakudi over his favorite MD KVM.
Today's pick, though sounds like a vivididhbharathi 8am bhakthi paadal, is a good one .
I remember reading somewhere that Malysia Vasudevan sang a song in this film. This was before he sang in '16 vayadhinile'.

Ramki
Thanks for this song, as I always that this was a Non-Filmi Song (may be APN added this popular Non-Filmi SOng)
I believe APN started using Kunnakudi after his disastrous film 'Guru Dhatchanai' with Puhalendhi in 1968. Isn't Vaa Raaja Vaa and Kan Katchi by APN/Kunnakudi combo. (Thirumal then Kumari/ Raja Raja Chozhan/Navarathinam/AGathiyar(?) are other films by the combo I think)
Thanks for the song as always

I'm not sure about kaNkaatchi, but all other movies you mentioned
were by APN/KV combo.
I thought 'guru dhakshinai' was by KVM?

AArthi is a very talented Actress of Kannada Film Industry in 70's
she and kalpana stealed the show and they were really great artists.
she doesnt need an intro as Sanghavi's Grand mother
huh!!

Wow, what a find!
Ramki, this made my month! Have not heard this one in years!
Gumasthavin Magal was a bonafide three-hankie matinee, but Aarthi survived the depressing surrounds with poise - and the minimalest of aiyaiyos. A feat in itself, given the manipulative overdrive in screenplays from that time. Her performance, and the featured song - both stand-outs in a low-key, mature film.

madhu: President Panchaaksharam was made into a movie with the same title as many theatre productions were!
