The movie is mostly open and surreal. Though many seem to interpret it the same way, it is mostly ambiguous. Surprisingly, the movie is all about Buddhist ideals and Zen concepts but is directed by a Christian!

The movie is almost devoid of dialogue. It might all sum up for only a page of spoken words in the whole movie.
