Eeram - S Pictures Production
Eeram, coming from the production house of Shankar - which has the reputation of giving the hits Kadhal and Imsai Arasan - has grabbed everyone's attention. The film stars Aadhi (of Mirugham fame), Nanda, Sindhu Menon and Saranya Mohan in the lead roles. Most of the film was shot in an apartment complex built specially for the film! Following this, the second round of shooting was completed in Trichy and Pondicherry recently.
Director Arivazhagan was assistant to Shankar in Boys and Anniyan; an alumnus of Chennai Film Institute, he won a gold medal for a short film he made during his college days! He takes care of the story, screenplay, and dialogues of Eeram.
Music is by Thaman, one of the lead actors of Boys. Cinematography has been handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, a vivacious student of College of Cinematography, and Kishore is the editor. Stunts have been choreographed by "Stunt" Selva. The special effects in the film will be done by Indian Graphics.

Sun Pictures waiting for Shankar
At the recent audio-launch of Shankar's 'Eeram', directed by Arivazhagan and starring Nanda, Adhi and Sindhu Menon, the surprising VIP on dais was Hansraj Saxena, the executive head of Sun Network. As Saxena sat listening to speakers praising the film's content and the way it has been made, he developed a liking towards the film.
When his turn to speak came, Saxena openly declared that "We would like to take up the distributorship of 'Eeram'. I am placing a request to Shankar Sir to consider giving the releasing rights to Sun Pictures. I expect some good news in the near future!" When Saxena made his offer-cum-request on stage smiling at Shankar, the latter smiled back but hasn't yet replied till date.
More than a week since the audio release, Sun Pictures, which produces Shankar's Rajni-starrer 'Enthiran: The Robot', hasn't yet heard from Shankar on 'Eeram'. Shankar reportedly wants to release films produced under his banner on his own so that the loss or profit doesn't affect the other party that takes up the distributorship.
Sun Pictures, however, keeps their finger crossed and is waiting with hope!

Music by Thaman
Shankar's S Pictures, one of the notable production companies in Tamil cinema, is to release their next venture Eeram in September. The movie has Nandhaa, Aathi and Sindhu Menon in the lead roles. Taman S., music director of the Telugu super hit Kick, has delivered excellent songs for Eeram. His last release in Tamil was Sindhanai Sei.
The movie features four songs, including theme music. The audio of Eeram was recently released by Superstar Rajinikanth and the first copy received by director Sasikumar. Lyricist Viveka has penned the songs for the movie.
The songs of the movie are being widely appreciated by the public and already rocking the FM charts. The audio marketed by Think Music who are delivering super hit songs in recent times with excellent recording quality.

I saw Nandha in Inox when i watched Kandhasaamy.. That guy was handsome. Wonder why he is not getting some good offers. He does a decent bit of acting too. Hope Eeram revives his career..

Music review: Eeram
Mazhaiye is scintillating - a Harris Jeyaraj style track that gains from its assuredly minimal orchestration, even as the tune is gorgeous. Ranjith's vocals are absolutely fascinating - the singer is in even better form, along with Thaman's imaginatively assured arrangements in Saaral En, the first track's mellow version! Lyricist Viveka's words and Suchitra's incredible vocals take Tharai erangiya to amazing heights - this is a beautiful track with an ethereal feel. The theme too is a pretty impressive assortment of sounds. Trust Shankar to unearth the best of talents - if Thaman was meandering till now, he soars in Eeram!

Eeram lead goes to Sindhu Menon
Director Shankar's upcoming film, Eeram, will have popular actress Sindhu Menon playing an important role. The film, produced under the banner of S Pictures, will have her in different appearances. Superstar Rajinikanth along with director Sasikumar launched the music of the film recently. The music has received a good response from the public. The music director of the film is S. Thaman.
Menon first appeared in films as a child artist with Kannada film Rashmi (1994) and later as a heroine at the age of 13 with Prema Prema Prema (1999) followed by many films in all South Indian languages. Eeram also stars Nandhaa and Aathi in the lead roles alongside Sindhu.

Glamour taboo for Saranya
On the eve of Eeram releasing, Saranya Mohan said she is happy to carry the image of a girl next door. Glamour has no place in her dictionary, she says. Flooded with offers after Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu, Saranya has been carefully picking roles without glamour. "I will accept roles only where my character is well-etched. My well-defined character in Eeram should speak a lot for me," said Saranya with unbridled joy.
Saranya has a lot to look forward to in the ongoing Malayalam project Chemistry with a bunch of new faces. What matters is the storyline and once she is happy with it, Saranaya says she is only too happy to get into the skin of the character.
Pursuing a degree in literature, Saranya is keeping her career options open. Glamorous roles cannot carry you very far, says the pretty girl with a maturity belying her age. After all, she was yet to hit her teens when she played the lovelorn girl chasing Dhanush in Yaaradi Nee Mohini.
Giving the credit where it is due, Saranya said she owed her success to the encouragement of her co-star Dhanush , who willingly played second fiddle in the romantic interludes.
