GOD of Cricket -Sachin Tendulkar's Mumbai Indians -Edition 2

Wanting a franchise to win is an entirely different issue, people may have their tastes and opinions, free will ya I agree .

But What I couldn't understand was yesterday that many Sachin fans in facebook/orkut were praying/wanting for sachin to get out. I look into their profile we have Sachin's page there. Fan-nu sollikittae Thalaivar out aaganumnu nenaikaradhu ellam eppadi than mudiyumo . All I wish to see is these people jumping up and down when he plays for India.

I am speaking for myself but even if my own brother is playing for some other state, I will still be supporting Chennai for I am a Chennai-ite and my brother for I am his blood. When was the last time that the people of Chennai came together and celebrated for something.. I think we deserve to celebrate both Chennai and Sachin and thats is the reason to have prayed for the verdict of Sachin MOS and Chennai win. We thought it will be a win-win situation but as Plum as rightly quoted, it ended as lose-lose situation. Even the media isnt celebrating Chennai's success which makes us even more stumbled.

I have been constantly supporting both Chennai and Mumbai for their respective games, but when they both played I just had a good time to watch these two teams play and applaud for the best performance.

But to answer your question to get Sachin out, come on lets face it, if Chennai has to win, Tendulkar has to lose his wicket. We'd rather see him score and play his shots and get out rather than hitting his bat on the ground while the wickets are falling at the other end. I was the only one in the gang of 10 who watched the game to have supported Sachin and his every bit of batting. I was even hit by a glass from my friend (lightly) for applauding for Sachin. It is just the matter of whether you choose Mumbai for Sachin or Chennai for Chennai-ian. Some chose the former, and I , the latter. But I for one, didnt want Sachin's wicket, as I thought chasing down that target in that particular pitch will always be difficult.

P.S:
The funniest thing is I got an sms from a number saying that "you are cordially invited to attend Mumbai Indians funeral". Enakku sirikaradha azharadhannae theriala. One silly thing I have seen in years. It's afterall one match. And I don't have a clue on how they got my number here. That is puzzling me even now. The same MI team has three members playing for India. Sachin Bhajji and Zaheer. Next year world cup win panna ivanunga enna nenaipaanuga than enaku theriala.

To me IPL is a clean fun! I was enjoying and supporting some teams for my pleasure. I don't know how many people here [except few hardcore fans] takes this series quite seriously? At least I am not.

Sachin plays here alright but why suddenly so much of fanaticism shown for this series? Some people here think that T20 is a crap, right? Or the perception has changed?

A fan should be a fanatic always? can't he remain just a fan?

I for one don't care what format Sachin plays. T20I or IPL or Gully cricket or exhibition match or test matches I want sachin to make runs. And if he is captaining a side, I want that to win. Did Sachin think IPL was *fun*? Apparently he did NOT and that showed.

And middle finger to T20 WC or for that matter any other cricket match in which the lord is not playing. You won't even see me posting on those threads.
