When people can ask why no poll for Tendulkar, I can ask them why didn't you ask that question in the first place?. As simple as that. This is making a mockery out of the entire process that has happened so far. I am not game for such questions/discussions.
i dont get the logic at all - why cant someone appeal after sometime? how does it tantamount to mocking the process?

It is definitely making a mockery of the process. When people have started discussing about positions 2-5 you sit quiet and now come and ask why there was no poll. It is questioning the integrity of everybody who has taken efforts to do this exercise here. That thread was there for 8 months.
I throw a similar question at u.
I have a doubt and I think you waited all this time just to sling mud at Tendulkar as you have time and again done very effectively. Tell me one good reason why I should not ask this question to you.

Feddy, to be fair to MADDY, he asked this question much earlier. It has risen to a crescendo now that's all.

Thats what I mean..If situation requires them(Aravinda/Inzi) to steady the innings - they can do..especially Inzi. The steadying the ship activity would be done in the middle order(no 4 and no 5) itself. There is no requirement of Bevan at 6-ngreen.
Number of 4 and 5 are good in playing according to the situation and class acts...why do we need to hire number 6 for the same work?

no feddy, i have clearly said its just abt "process" and not abt sridhar or plum and i accepted they didnt have any intentions in selecting sachin unanimously..........if people still want to interpret my questions as personal/integrity etc - i feel this tantamounts to questioning my integrity......
why did i have to wait - i could have slung mud right away - isnt it?? to me timing is irrelevant, really........

Feddy, as I recall he had made the point earlier. Not much attention was paid to it because (possibly) most of those in the thread it is a moot point. But he seems to feel strongly about the process. Poll-um vechAchchu.
For the life of me, I can't understand how anyone would prefer someone else other than Sachin for opening in ODIs.
But I'd suggest taking things at face value and moving on. Second guessing intentions etc. never gets anywhere.
