True - most of the movies save for a few like "naan adimai illai" awere nicely updated to native taste. and I quite agree with what raghavendran said about Rajini carving out his own style instead of emulating bacchan.
What I miss in Rajini of these days from the Rajini of 80s is moments of "absolute drunken stupor" as seen in movies like Mapillai, Maaveeran where one felt Rajini enjoyed himself. These days I feel like having to see a well santized character, which is "quite out of character" for Rajini. Price one has to pay for new market like children and new age northie aunties.
