I have an explanation for Vicks Vaporob but it so obviously is post facto that your theory is more plausible
(something to do with applying Vicks Vaporob in your sensitive parts and the tickets being for youth boys in the midst of youth gaels - and the business pitch of that as a luxury product implies they are expected to make use of the fact that they will be seated next to sooper figures)
