கதையில என்னை மிகவும் சிரிக்க வைத்தது உள்ளூர் குறிகாரர் கோடாங்கி , அவரது மனைவி சரசம்மா, காவலர்கள் கூட்டணி ஏட்டய்யா, கான்ஸ்டபிள் வேலு, சந்திரன் .. இந்தப் பாத்திரங்களில் யார் யார் நடிக்கப் போகிறார்கள் என்ற ஆர்வம் மேலோங்கி நிற்கிறது. இதுல அப்புக்குட்டி என்ன பாத்திரம் ? அழகர் சாமியா? அப்படியேன்றால் அழகர்சாமி பாத்திரத்தை சுசி கொஞ்சம் நீட்டித்திருப்பார் எனத் தோன்றுகிறது. ஏனெனில் "படத்தின் மையப்பாத்திரம்" எனச் சொல்லுகிறார் அப்புக்குட்டி பாடல் வெளியீட்டு விழாவில்.

கதையை வாசிக்கையில் விவேக், வடிவேலு, சிங்கமுத்து போன்றவர்கள் மனதில் பாத்திரங்களாக வந்து விட்டு செல்கிறார்கள்.
