My strong recommendations continues:

11. Vietnam Veedu - Powerful, scorching, many many edge of the seat moment. If NT doesn't move you, you are made of granite.

12. Gauravam - Same as above, my favourite of NTs, a lot need to be written about this film. It's all about attitude, attitude & attitude.

13. Paavamannippu - Plum will explain.

14. Rajapart Rangadurai - Moving at the same time exciting, get to see NT do stage show on film, including Hamlet!!

15. Thiruvarutchelvar - Not one of my fav amongst APN/NT devotional films, but they are fun nevertheless.

16. Gnana Oli - Brilliant show of transformation of a character from humble carpenter to a powerful businessman. Allusions plenty to Christianity. Arun = second coming?

17. Kai Kodutha Deivam - Was a bit slow for me. Any film with SSR in it will slow things down for me. Watch for NT and Padhmini's superb chemistry.

18. Pudhiya Paravai - Ah, what a thriller. What a performance. What a beauty (Sowcar, yes!). The ending-ke Oscar kudukkalam.

19. Galatta Kalyanam - Funny, another hero/comedian tag team. NT get beaten up pathetically, you would never have seen this in any other heros film.

20. Raja - Action. Saradha mdm have written extensively on this.

31. Uyarndha Manidhan - Interesting history about this film, where Asokan purportedly stole the show in one scene, only I learn later that he did a very small percentage of what NT taught him. NT showing what subtlety is. Sowcar's fantastic here.

32. Aalayamani - Meena bommai. Mystery. Murder. NT shows his dark side. Sati suttathadaaa....

33. Babu - Amazing performance. How we take small things for granted. Babu = gratitude in film form.

34. Bale Pandia - pre-MMKR screwball comedy.

35. Avan Dhaan Manidhan - I wrote about it recently here.

36. Paarthal Pasi Theerum - Kamal's first double role, and action sequence. Go figure.

37. Ooty Varai Uravu - There's drama on the otherwise light hearted flick. Highlight: Pottu Vaitha Mugamo = mom's favourite NT song sequence.

38. Saraswathi Sabatham - My faaaaavoourite APN/NT movie. Wrote extensively, I think there must be a link on the first page.

40. Savaale Samaali - Pre-Patikada Pattanama NT/JJ clash. Emphasis on socialism, workers vs employers issue. more to come...

41. Sumathi En Sundari - Wait, I got this mixed up with Ooti Varai Uravu. Can you switch it back, thanks. Athey combination, the song I mentioned is here.

42. Kandhan Karunai - Again, not my favourite because NT's role is small, though the impact was as huge as the giant he becomes in one scene...oops...theriyama solliten.

44. Raman Ethanai Ramanadi - Saradha mdm wrote extensively on this. Moving tale, opening scenes performance pramatham!

45. Raja Raja Chozhan - Despite what you think its a smaller character drama. More related to the kids rather than the king himself. NT merely lent his presence.

46. Padithal Mattum Podhuma - Nan parta pennai nee parkavillai. Confusion, padikkatha thambi, paditta annan, lots of brotherly love, lots of mixups.

47. Aandavan Kattalai - Devika. Devika. Devika. Devika. Devika. Devika. Sigh.

48. Enghal Thanga Raja - Lots of angle here. When you are young, you will side younger NT, but if you are older, daddy NT. Go figure.

49. Sorgam - Stylish NT, Ponmagal Vanthal. Not exactly a smart man he plays.

50. Manohara - Our own Hamlet. Smashing performance. One of the most imitated performances.

List of NT's 'must watch' movies continues:

51. Pachchai Vilakku - Women need education. That's the point, but there's murder in between.

52. Thirumbip Paar - anti-hero NT. Or should I say, anti-NT

53. Nenjirukkum Varai = Sridhar's pre-varumayin niram sigappu unemployed youth. No makeup. Emphasis more on romance (triangle) than the social situation. V.S. Gopalakrishan in a very moving role. Peeeterr.....

56. Pattikkaadaa Pattanamaa = Fun, fun movie. NT and JJ's clash = awesome! A bit old-fashioned value but fun nevertheless.

57. Thirudan = Action...can't quite remember the film.

58. Moondru Deivanghal = Fun, NT is merely one of the three main roles. Sivakumar in tight pants and show stealer VK Ramasay is at it again.

60. Paar Magale Paar = Vijayakumari would ruin it for you, but watch it nevertheless. Got one of the best TMS/PBS song.

List of NT's 'must watch' movies continues:

62. Vidivelli = Early Sridhar. In fact, first with NT methings. All about timing and situation and getting out of a sticky one.

63. Enghirundho Vandhaal = Oh boy, year by year this film just getting more and more attention from me. NT the mad poet? Watch.

66. Lakshmi Kalyanam = One of my fav. Quiet little film. Simple plot, get her married. NT and VKR makes a brilliant father and son team.

68. Enga Oor Raja = There I go again, confusing it with Enggal Tangga Raja. Sorry about it. Refer to the other comment please.

69. Sampoorna Ramayanam = NT as Barathan. Not even main role. Eats everyone up and burps.

70. Ethiroli = Brilliant psychological thriller. Only KB/NT movie. Wrote extensively before.

Continuation of NT's 'must watch' list:

77. Needhi = Nalai muthal kudikka matten, this song will stick on your mind for days. Excellent performance of a caged beast.

79. Pazhani = Elder brother, too obsessed with the agricultural life. Aarodum mannil enggum neerodum...

80. Thirisoolam = Three NT. Not my favourite, but apparently his biggest bo success.

84. Thookku Thookki = If adventure has a name, and this before Indiana Jones, its this film.

85. Sivakaamiyin Selvan = More known for songs than the film itself. Not as good as the Hindi original but NT makes it tick.

86. Makkalai Petra Maharasi = Remember "Manapaara maadu katti, a-janggu-janngu-cha" remix? Original here. Manvasanai.

87. Nichaya Thaamboolam = I remember hating this movie as a kid. But I was not a fan then, haven't seen it since.

89. Thirumal Perumai = APN/NT = magic continues.

90. Raththath Thilagam = See Kannadhasan singing his own song with TMS song about much misunderstood apparently stood for his wine and women thing, which is not.

As a whole, we all belong to NT fraternity. There is no need for sorries & apologies. Like all of us here, You have every right, will & wish to go through the list and post your esteemed comments in the same.

I am extremely happy that the list now sports a wonderful & informative look by way of your one-liners. Your one-liners, Wah! What to say, they are simply outstanding. They give the reader a good glimpse about the movie in a nutshell. My special kudos to you for implementing this innovative idea. Please continue this great effort in the forthcoming lists too.

3. Navarathiri - 9 roles, to me not all worked, maybe seven, but fantastic exercise in stretching oneself as a talent. Textbook for acting.
