I downloaded a copy of Thoorathu pachai songs - better audio quality compared to the ones hosted in thiraipaadal and raaga.com from here..
    http://free-ilayaraja-songs.blogspot...thoorathu.html
I cant help it guys - songs are too good to be listened through the stream @ low quality.

    hi hi..
nowadays I see guys being used in the same context as "folks" - it has become somewhat gender neutral..

    Jai,

Unga 'takku' ivvaluvudhana? It is atleast a couple of years now since 'guys' has become gender nuetral.

Thanks for the Doorathu Patchai songs.

    I am a slow coach boss .
only now completed listening to Ajantha songs - apart from the ordinary "kaiyil oru keyboard" song, rest are pretty rich songs. I have fallen in love with "yaarum thodaadha ondrai"

    This whole album rocks.
while most of the songs are strong in the melody area, the last song "pala rathiri" scores in the "beat" section.
My pick is "malli malli chendu malli" - very nice melody with characteristic Ilaiyaraaja interludes.

This one goes out for Raj_musing who is researching "spooky songs" of raja.
After the song from Manjal nila, here is one from the mahendran movie "Azhagiya Kanne".
If the singer is "Krishna chander", then V_S also has to be interested in this one.
I particularly loved the way, the lady's scream in the first interlude makes way for the "bass guitar". Splendid.
